Is it better to sell my Cayman privately or to a buyer?
Private can bring a little more, but Cayman buyers are fussy enthusiasts; a sale to us is certain and done in days.
The Cayman attracts knowledgeable private buyers who inspect hard and negotiate harder. Expect detailed questions about track use, suspension work and service history, and expect the sale to take weeks.
We price off current Cayman sales, variant by variant, and give you a firm written number within 24 hours. No ads, no strangers, no payment risk.
What affects a Cayman's value?
Variant, gearbox, kilometres and service history set the number, with GT4 and GTS models commanding a clear premium.
Manual gearboxes are prized on Caymans and add real money, as do S, GTS and especially GT4 variants. Track use is common and not a problem, but it must be disclosed and documented.
A complete service history matters as always, and on early 987 cars expect the IMS bearing question, exactly as on early 911s and Boxsters.
How does selling a Cayman to you work?
Four questions online, one phone call with a firm offer, then inspection, payment and collection at your place.
The valuation quiz takes about 60 seconds and shows an indicative range on screen. Within 24 hours we call once with a firm number based on recent Cayman sales of your generation and variant.
Accept, and we inspect at your home or work, settle any finance with your lender and pay you before the car is collected, anywhere in Australia.
What documents do I need?
Registration papers, service history, both keys and a payout letter if there is finance owing.
Invoices for brakes, tyres, suspension and scheduled services help us sharpen the offer, especially on cars that have seen track days. You do not need a roadworthy certificate when selling to a licensed trader.
If the car has modifications, list them. Some add value to the right buyer and all are better disclosed early.
Do you buy Caymans with finance owing?
Yes. We settle the payout directly with your lender and pay you the difference.
You provide the payout figure, we pay the lender on settlement day and transfer the remaining balance to you at the same time.
If the payout is higher than the offer, we will tell you plainly and you can decide whether to bridge the gap or keep the car.
