Is it better to sell my 911 privately or to a buyer?
A private sale can sometimes net a little more, but selling to us is faster, certain and carries none of the risk.
A private 911 sale usually runs four to eight weeks. You pay for ads, field calls from strangers, host test drives and carry the payment-fraud risk on a six-figure car. A dealer trade-in is quick but the number is built into the price of the next car, so it is almost always the lowest of the three.
Our offer sits close to the private market because we know exactly what each generation and variant is selling for this month. You get a firm written number within 24 hours and, if it suits you, the money before the car leaves your driveway.
What affects a 911's value?
Generation, variant, kilometres, options and service history set the number, and enthusiast options matter more on a 911 than on any other Porsche.
Manual gearboxes, Sport Chrono, Paint to Sample and PTS-adjacent colours, low kilometres and a complete Porsche Centre service history all add real money. Desirable variants like the GTS, GT3 and Turbo command a premium that moves quickly, so we price off current sales rather than a book.
If you own an early 996 or a 997.1, expect the IMS bearing question. It is not a deal breaker. Cars with documented bearing work or later revised parts still sell well, and we would rather talk about it openly than pretend it away.
How does selling a 911 to you work?
Four questions online, one phone call with a firm offer, then inspection, payment and collection at your place.
Start with the 60-second valuation quiz and you will see an indicative range on screen straight away. Within 24 hours we call once with a firm number based on recent sales of the same generation and variant.
If you accept, we inspect the car at your home or work, settle any finance directly with your lender and transfer the balance to you. The car is collected only after the money has landed.
What documents do I need?
Registration papers, service history, both keys and, if there is a loan, a payout letter from your lender.
The service book and invoices for options or recent work genuinely move the number on a 911, so gather them before we call. A roadworthy certificate is not required because you are selling to a licensed trader, not a private buyer.
If the car is unregistered or a project, tell us up front. We still buy them, and honesty about condition saves everyone a second inspection.
Do you buy 911s with finance owing?
Yes. We settle the payout directly with your lender and pay you the difference.
Most of the 911s we buy still have finance on them. You give us the payout figure, we pay the lender directly on settlement day and transfer the remaining balance to you at the same time.
If the payout is higher than the offer, we will tell you plainly and you can decide whether to bridge the gap or keep the car.
