Is it better to sell my Cayenne privately or to a buyer?
Private can bring a little more on a good week, but a sale to us is done in days with no strangers, no advertising and no payment risk.
Cayennes attract plenty of enquiries privately, but many are from buyers who need finance approval or want to trade their own car in. Expect four to eight weeks of messages, inspections and negotiation before money changes hands.
We price off what Cayennes are actually selling for this month, variant by variant, and put a firm written number in front of you within 24 hours. If it suits you, the car is usually gone within days.
What affects a Cayenne's value?
Service history and tyre condition matter more than kilometres on a Cayenne, because buyers know what neglected maintenance costs.
A complete service history, ideally with Porsche Centre or specialist stamps, is the single biggest value lever. Matching quality tyres with even wear tell us the car has been cared for; four mismatched budget tyres suggest the opposite and cost real money.
After that: variant, options like air suspension and tow packages, accident history and kilometres. Hybrid and diesel models are assessed on battery and engine health respectively, so recent invoices help.
How does selling a Cayenne to you work?
Four questions online, one phone call with a firm offer, then inspection, payment and collection at your place.
The valuation quiz takes about 60 seconds and shows an indicative range on screen. Within 24 hours we call once with a firm number based on recent Cayenne sales of your generation and variant.
Accept, and we inspect at your home or work, settle any finance with your lender and pay you before the car is collected. Free collection runs in every state.
What documents do I need?
Registration papers, service history, both keys and a payout letter if there is finance owing.
Invoices for recent work, especially brakes, tyres and any suspension or transfer-case repairs, help us sharpen the offer. You do not need a roadworthy certificate when selling to a licensed trader.
If the Cayenne has been used for towing, tell us. It is common and fine, but it changes what we look at during inspection.
Do you buy Cayennes with finance owing?
Yes. We pay the lender directly and transfer the balance to you on the same day.
A large share of the Cayennes we buy are still under finance. You provide the payout figure, we settle with the lender at collection and pay you the difference before the car leaves.
If the payout exceeds the offer we will say so plainly, and you can decide whether to bridge the gap or keep the car.
